Project details
This year’s fair will be defined by a series of new and innovative installations and events; making it the most comprehensive and diverse fair yet. The exhibition takes place at the new showground in Milan from 16-21st April 2008, bringing together 3,100 of the industry’s most dynamic and creative companies spread across 220,000 square metres which will host The International Furniture Show, Eurocucina, the new Office Show, The International Bathroom Show, The International Furnishing Accessories Show and the Satellite Show. Camron organised a press conference at the Royal Festival Hall where a selection of key speakers announced their plans for the fair, which was followed by a lunch at Skylon restaurant. Over 90 journalists and key opinion formers attended the event. Following an introduction by Mr. Rosario Messina, chairman of Cosmit, editor of Dezeen Marcus Fairs hosted a discussion around the revelation of the one of the fair’s surprise collateral cultural events – the appointment of renowned British artist and filmmaker Peter Greenaway, who is creating a multimedia event around Leonardo Da Vinci’s celebrated masterpiece the Last Supper. Peter Greenaway and Franco Laera, artistic director of Change performing Arts, talked about their inspirational involvement.
