On a trend trip to New York last October, Camron discovered the cult fragrance boutique Le Labo whilst shopping in Nolita. Since then, we have been working with Liberty’s in-house team to bring this creative concept to London’s leading emporium. We celebrated the launch with a press breakfast yesterday morning with co-founder Eddie Roschi.
Le Labo which means ‘the lab’ is a place to learn about the fine art of perfume making. Le Labo offer a unique and personalised experience as their perfumes are the only perfumes on the market that are made-to-order which means that the essential oil concentrates in the perfume remain separate from the alcohol right up to the moment of purchase. The perfumes are bottled whilst you wait and for the perfect bespoke gift a personal message can be scripted onto the label of either the fragrance, candle or room scent.
Company founders Eddie Roschi and Fabrice Penot met working for the creative team at Armani and they travelled between Paris, Grasse, Milan and New York working side by side with some of the greatest noses of our time developing a precise idea of what perfumery will be in the future. Their mission: to create 10 exceptional fragrances, with no eye on costs and one goal – to create a sensory “sensation“ as soon as the bottle is opened.
Le Labo within Liberty will be the largest Le Labo boutique in Europe. The brand also has a flagship store in New York, a recently opened concession in Colette, Paris, and is planning further stores in Tokyo and LA.
