Project details

From lamps made out of old toys, to fabulous jewellery made entirely out of sugar crystals, the range of exhibits was definitely thought-provoking and reflected an increasingly important preoccupation amongst London’s design community. Curator Marcus Fairs succeeded in bringing together an international gathering of designers from as far away as South Africa and Brazil to show their work which has attracted wide attention from the press both nationally and globally. The opening night party was a huge success attracting well over 350 guests in spite of having to compete with about ten other events held that night as part of the London Design Festival. Guests were entranced by Stuart Haygarth’s stunning chandelier finding it difficult to believe it was made entirely from old spectacle lenses.
