Project details

Camron has recently been working with the Danish Embassy on the Townhouse DK concept. Developed to coincide with the London Design Festival by Lærke Haiberg Svendsen & Maria Mayerhofer Townhouse DK aims to promote Danish design in the UK.

For this a traditional English mews house has been transformed into a fully functional and inspirational modern Danish design home. In the heart of the Brompton Quarter the house is a place where Danish designers can show their work to a wider audience as well as a living and happening environment in which people are encouraged to interact and be inspired by the best in Danish design.

Prior to the opening of Townhouse DK we recently held a press breakfast at the house which was a great success. As our guests arrived they were greeted by the sweet smell of homemade Danish “boller” baking in the oven and fresh coffee, and between tucking into the delicious Danish breakfast, looking around the house, and chatting to either Lærke, Maria, the architects who have transformed the house, or any of the various designers whose products are on display in the house we can honestly say a good time was had by all, and that Townhouse DK truly is a home.

This Saturday Townhouse DK opens to the public and will do so daily between 10am and 5pm from now until the end of December. Everyone is invited to pop in freely to experience for themselves this inspirational Danish designed home.
