A great insight Lucy bullivant
Camron has been working with the International Design Initiative (IDI) for the past 12 months. The IDI is a pan Arab initiative that that seeks to foster design creativity across the UAE. Over the past year we have helped the IDI with design focused events in London and Milan.
However, the highlight of this years activity is the inaugural International Design Forum, a 3 day design conference in Dubai attended by the local and international design community.
A full Camron team has been in Dubai for the duration of the Conference (27-29 May) With us, we have an international press delegation including Blueprint and Icon magazines, Tom Dyckhoff, architecture critic from the Times, and Shonquis Moreno from US title, Surface.
Highlights from the conference include Villa Moda’s Sheikh Majed Al Sabah announcing his new Villa Moda concept for Dubai, designed by Jaime Hayon; Alice Rawsthorn’s session on Luxury and the imitable Karim Rashid who played to a packed auditorium with his Design Workshop. We even managed to fit in a supper with our journalists, Paola Antonelli and Teresa Sapey.
