To create awareness of Waterford Crystal’s great new Martini glasses Camron took advantage of the Bond fever of the moment and teamed Waterford Crystal with the newly revamped InterContinental London Park Lane to offer the special “Vesper” martini created by Bond in the new movie Casino Royale. The James Bond cocktail is being served during this 007 season at the newly refurbished bar in exquisite Waterford Crystal Eclipse martini glasses for that extra glamorous touch. The “Vesper” as all bond fans will know is a mix of Millers Gin, Ketel One Vodka and the mysterious Lillet Vermouth.
Named after the villainess in Casino Royale, the “Vesper” Martini is ‘shaken and double strained’. Camron organised a one-off Waterford Martini Master Class at the new bar and contacted key London newspapers in order to announce a competition for the public to win the chance to take part in the class Thursday evening 23rd November. The response from features in the Evening Standard and The London Paper was overwhelming with 10 lucky participants selected to learn how to make the Vesper Martini with expert resident mixologists. Tanya Semikov from Conde Nast Traveller and Jack Dyson from GQ also joined in the fun.
