Graham & Brown’s latest wallpaper collection has certainly been causing a stir – it is designed by of the world’s top fashion designers – Julien Macdonald – and received its first viewing at a press launch organised by Camron.
The event took place at the Hempel hotel and began with afternoon tea where journalists were invited to view the stunning range of wallpapers and to meet Julien himself and Graham & Brown. Bold pattern, strong colour and attention to detail form the essence of the new range which he personally designed in collaboration with Graham & Brown.
A selection of the designs was displayed on eight foot high plinths, which were set off perfectly alongside the simple white backdrop of the Hempel hotel. Each plinth was effortlessly styled with striking flowers by Haley at Absolute Flowers to compliment the colour and pattern of the wallpaper.
As 6pm approached, the cocktails came out, the music turned up and more guests including friends of Julien’s arrived to celebrate the collaboration. They were welcomed by Camron girls, Minna and Rupal who added a touch of haute couture to the evening dressed in Julien Macdonald. Guests mingled on the terrace and sipped cocktails, all named after the wallpapers – Glamorous, Ornate, Paradise, Exotic, Dazzle and Mysterious.
