Double hollow ware bowl designed by Donato Úrbino and Paolo Lomazzi for Alessi

Designed in 2003 for Alessi, this polished stainless steel hollow bowl fuses two separate layers together to form its interior and exterior. Given as a wedding present to us the same year it was designed, the reflective finish and hollow shape of the bowl show good yet simple Italian design. But it is its echo of the work by British installation artist Anish Kapoor that really makes it an eye-catching piece of design for me.
