Sprinkles Cupcakes
We love cupcakes at Camron and have worked with The Primrose Bakery – and we visit The Magnolia Bakery when we are in New York. So, when I came across Sprinkles Cupcakes – I was blown away. These are ‘vintage cupcakes’ – and an amazing brand. Sprinkles is owned by Charles and Candace Nelson, former LA investment bankers. The store at Corona del Mar Plaza was designed by architect, Andrea Lenardin Madden, and has just won the 2006 Restaurant Design Award. What makes this brand special are the details – whimsical lunchbox cupcake holders, gift boxes, doggie t-shirts, (to go with the doggie cupcakes) – and apparently the cupcakes are Oprah’s favourites! Openings worldwide include Tokyo and of course, London.
