Posted by Neil Byrne 22 Jun The Jerwood Applied Arts Prize 2007

Last night, Caroline Roux, design journalist extraordinaire and editor of Craft Magazine, hosted a party at the Jerwood Space to celebrate 12 years of the Jerwood Prize and to view the shortlist for 2007. In 2007, the 30,000 prize is awarded in recognition of outstanding creativity; craftsmanship and significant contribution to the discipline of jewellery. The short-listed artists are Susan Cross, Nora Fok, Yoko Izawa, Grainne Morton, Adam Paxon and Mah Rana.

The prize will be awarded on 25 June 2007. My money is on Adam Paxton’s Takashi Murakami inspired blown glass jewelry (pictured)
