VILLA MODA

Launched in Kuwait as an alternative luxury fashion retailer, taking the best elements of luxury retail in the West and adding a distinct, cosmopolitan ‘Gulf’ twist for its wealthy, well-travelled and fashion-savvy clientele. Offering some of the world’s most desirable brands in an exquisitely designed space, Villa Moda rapidly re-wrote the rules on world class luxury retail. Sheikh Majed Al-Sabah has since opened retail offerings in Dubai (2003), Qatar (2004), Damascus (2006) and a further two stores in Kuwait in (2007/2008). A retail space designed by Marcel Wanders will launch this November in Bahrain and a new store and gallery space is planned for Spring 2009 within the DIFC in Dubai.

WINKREATIVE

Winkreative was conceived in 1998 by Tyler Brûlé – founder of Wallpaper* magazine and is a strategy and intelligence-driven design agency comprising advertising, custom publishing, corporate identity, brand development and design solutions.

Brûlé is a also a columnist for the Financial Times and a regular contributor to The New York Times’s T magazine and Switzerland’s NZZ am Sonntag.

MARTIN BRUDNIZKI

Martin Brudnizki founded his design studio in 2000 after working with a number of renowned architects and interior designers including David Collins. Previous projects include Daphne’s restaurant in Barbados, the women’s store Browns and Browns Bride. Future projects include the redesign of Scott’s Restaurant, London, recently acquired by Caprice Holding and the Ivy Club, London as well as Le Caprice, New York.

ARMANI CASA

Camron has worked with Armani/Casa since it was appointed to handle the opening for the first store on London’s Bond Street in September 2006. Camron supports the luxury brand in the UK at global events such as the Milan Furniture Fair and the London Design Festival, manages UK collection launches in Bond Street and oversees Armani/Casa’s UK editorial media strategy. This includes securing corporate and brand profiles and features on new developments such as Armani Hotels & Residences, communicating unique store services including the bespoke interior design service and supporting collaborations such as the exclusive Armani Lounge at Chelsea Football club.

SALONE INTERNAZIONALE DEL MOBILE

Camron has been appointed to organise the London preview of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Milan and to handle media enquiries. The preview will take place at the Blueprint Café, London in January 2007. Key organisers and designers involved with the Salone will be participating in a design forum where highlight from the exhibition, events and trends will be discussed. The Salone Internazionale del Mobile is the leading international furniture exhibition that attracts a global audience. The exhibition takes place at the new showground in Milan from 16-21rd April 2008, brings together 3,100 of the industry’s most dynamic and creative companies and attracts 260,000 visitors from 150 international countries.

BISAZZA

Founded in 1956, Bisazza leads the world in creating the most innovative glass mosaic products. Over the years, the company has always pursued a dual objective: the preservation and rediscovery of the processes and techniques typifying the Venetian mosaic tradition, and constant technological renewal. They work with the worlds leading designers including Marcel Wanders and Patricia Urquiola and will be working with a new range of designers in 2008.

MONOCLE

Created for an audience that existing media models currently ignore, Monocle is a global media brand that combines print, web and broadcast components. At its core lies a monthly magazine delivering original coverage in global affairs, business, culture and design. Sitting alongside is a web-based broadcast component delivering bulletins, mini-documentaries and talk formats. Monocle is published from a London hub and has editorial bureaux in New York, Zürich and Tokyo. The magazine has 100 correspondents working in 40 countries and is printed ten times a year in the UK. The magazine is distributed globally with a focus on Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific regions.

ROCKWELL GROUP

With a desire to create immersive environments, architect David Rockwell designs from the inside out, placing the user’s experience at the center of each project. His 220-person firm Rockwell Group and the Madrid based Rockwell Group Europe employs a cross-disciplinary approach to its diverse array of projects that range from hotels to hospitals, restaurants to airport terminals and Broadway set designs to consumer products. Past and present projects include the W New York and W Union Square, the global expansion of Nobu, the interior of the new JetBlue terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport, Maze (London), Belvedere Hotel Mykonos, as well as Broadway stage sets for Hairspray and Legally Blonde.

TAI PING

Tai Ping is a custom carpet and rug company that is rich in resources, contemporary in sensibility and global in scale. Over the last fifty years, Tai Ping has created rugs that are increasingly sought for luxurious and prestigious interiors – from hotels and casinos to Park Avenue residences, private jets and yachts.

BERNARDT DESIGN BY DANERKA

Bernhardt Design was founded in 1980 by the 119-year-old Bernhardt Furniture Company and continues to be a leader and innovator in furniture and design production. During the past 10 years, Creative Director Jerry Helling has assembled an extraordinary creative team that has positioned Bernhardt Design as one of the leading international design companies. Global Edition is the first collection to be launched in the European market by Bernhardt Design in partnership with Danerka in Milan this year. The 14-piece collection was inspired by the quest to create individual pieces that transcend specific style, category, origin or time period – pieces that have a sense of permanence and quality.

ZAYA

Zaya, a dynamic real estate company based in Abu Dhabi has launched Nurai, a spectacular private community of limited edition beach-front estates and water villas on a natural island off the coast of Abu Dhabi. CEO Nadia Zaal has hand picked a world class team, including Camron, Studio Dror, SHVO and TRACCS to bring her vision of Nurai to life.

DESIGN MIAMI/

Design Miami/ is the most prominent and substantive forum for international design, representing a convergence of commerce and culture. Its annual shows in Basel, Switzerland (June) and Miami, USA (December) bring together the most influential designers, collectors, dealers, curators and critics from around the world. The third annual Design Miami/ Basel, sponsored by HSBC Private Bank and Audi, will take place in Basel, Switzerland and will be open to the public June 3-5, 2008. Talks by Leaders in the field of design and the announcement of the Designer of the Future will enhance offerings.

Camron have been taken on to oversee all European and Russian press for this prestigious event.

DACRA

Dacra is an innovative real estate company that uses architecture, art, design and cultural programming to build creative international destinations. Dacra president, Craig Robins has revitalized the Design District of Miami by introducing a unique blend of retailers and specialized venues from the world of art, design and fashion. The company is comprised of a variety of entities and brands that work together to contribute to the development of every element of a dynamic community. With international development projects in Russia, China and beyond, Dacra has redefined the parameters of real estate development. Camron handles the European and Russian publicity for Dacra.

KVADRAT

Kvadrat develops design-led textiles for use as upholstery and curtains. Kvadrat was established in Denmark in the 1960s and now holds a leading position in the European market of design-textiles as primary supplier to many of the world’s most renowned architects, designers and furniture manufacturers. It is Kvadrat’s ambition to explore the boundaries of the possibilities of textiles and of contemporary design. Whether they are aesthetic, technological or artistic. And for that reason co-operate with designers, architects and artists who can take part in moving these boundaries.

ISTANBUL DESIGN WEEK

The latest not-to-miss stop on the international design calendar is the Istanbul Design Week taking place from October 16 – 20, 2008. With an exhibitor list that reads like the Who’s Who of design, the 2008 Istanbul Design Week is sure to be one of the most vibrant design events of the year. For the first time, IDW will be organised by Design in Turkey, a joint venture between Dream Design Factory, the founders of the fair, and DesignPartners, the masterminds behind Zona Tortona Design in Milan. The re-designed and expanded IDW will offer exhibitions, workshops, conferences and events all over the extraordinary Golden Horn.
